Thrax starts her third year at Bantry Bay from November 1, 2011.
ConocoPhillips Ireland has exercised another one year option on the T/B Thrax for tug operation services at the Bantry Bay Terminal in Ireland from November 1, 2011. T/B Thrax – which is an advanced azimuth stern drive tug of 62 t bollard pull – has been in operation for ConocoPhillips at Bantry Bay terminal since November 1, 2009. Østensjø subsidiary, Lee Towage Limited, which owns the T/B Thrax has conducted towage duties at the ConocoPhillips Whitegate Refinery with the T/B Alex since 1997.
The the 62 t bollard pull tug is still available for third party work when the ConocoPhillips work allows for it.
