Østensjø Rederi AS has been awarded a contract by ConocoPhillips Ireland to provide tug operation services at the Bantry Bay Terminal in Ireland. The operation will be carried out by T/B Thrax which is an advanced azimuth stern drive tug of 62 t Bollard Pull. The contract period is one year with options as from 1st November 2009.

The Platform Supply Vessel Edda Frende was delivered to Owners today, Friday 12th June. Vessel will depart from Spain Sunday with ETA Aberdeen Thursday 18th June. Edda Frende will release Edda Frigg and is contracted to Shell for 5 years until Jan 2014.

Østensjø Rederi's NB443 currently under construction at Astilleros Gondan, Spain was named on Saturday 25th April in Ribadeo, Spain. The Platform Supply Vessel was given the name Edda Frende by the Lady Sponsor Mrs Hilde Svendsen.
